2007 MARTIAL ARTS

2008 Hope of America Program

On April 29th Elite Academy of Tae Kwon Do participated in Hope of America at the Marriott Center. This is a program that involves fifth graders from fifty five schools throughout Utah. The woman in charge of Hope of America visited several martial arts schools throughout Utah Valley and chose our school to participate in this year's performance to represent Tae Kwon Do. Ours was the only Martial Arts school invited to participate. This was a BIG deal and a great honor. We worked very hard for our part of the performance and it we did really good. Thank you for doing your part by taking the effort to have students be here for special practices and all your support.

World Tae Kwon do Institute

We are very fortunate to be the only school in our area that will ever have the World Tae Kwon Do Institute which we have been incorporating into our school. Jean Lopez, the Olympic coach, has developed this training program. His two brother's and sister have confirmed their spot in this Olympics, which is really exciting - not just for them, but also for our school.

Martial Arts Hall of Fame

We are honored to once again have our school inducted into the martial Arts Hall of Fame this coming May as International School of the Year for the second year in a row!!! Every one of our instructors is being inducted as wall!!! We are very honored to have such a school!
We are very committed to giving our students the best training available. Thank you for your awesome children and for your support.

What is Tae Kwon Do?

Tae Kwon Do is a modern
martial art, characterized by
its fast, high and spinning kicks.
There are multiple interpretations
of the name Taekwondo.
Tae Kwon Do is often translated
as 'the way of hand and foot.'
Tae = 'Foot' or 'to kick' or 'to jump'
K'won = 'Fist' or 'to strike or
block with hand' Do = 'The
way of' or 'art' Put this together
and Tae Kwon Do means:
"the art of kicking and punching"
or "the art of unarmed combat"
